Unfortunately, we don't know what you DO know, to be able to work out what you NEED to know, and you may or may not know enough to know what to ask. (I'm sure "Yes, Minister" said that much better, but I can't find the right quote damn it ;-)
So don't take offence if some of this seems silly or overly simple, or if it seems too complex and goes straight over your head. Your cooperation will help us tailor our on-line information and, if our suspicions are borne out by responses, design some on-line, easy tutorials for those of you who feel you really need some basic instructions on how to simply use or work your computer - things that to us seem very basic and simple - like creating folders, copying files, and making back-ups.
It's so easy for us to get so wrapped up in the technology that we are so familiar with, to forget that most users these days have little or no computer experience. If you fit this description, fill out the survey and help us to assist you. Even if you don't fit the above description, and think you're pretty computer savvy, please fill out the survey anyway to give us a better overall picture.
Please complete the survey once and once only.
The proposed value added on-line tutorial service will be restricted to subscribers only, so it is important that you fill in the e-mail address section so we can filter out multiple submissions and non-subscribers. Unsigned (no e-mail address) submissions will be discarded. All surveys submitted will be kept in confidence and not released to any other persons for any other purpose. Some overall results may be published from time to time in later newsletters, but will not include names or e-mail addresses.
As a good friend remarked via e-mail a short while ago, "we all had to start somewhere".
