Yarrawonga Pioneer Museum This highly acclaimed museum is housed in a spacious modern facility, and features one of the largest and most comprehensive exhibits of early farming displays in Australia. Set out below are some photographs which unfortunately do not even scratch the surface of the thousands of items that are on display. Antique Cars
Above is Pierce Arrow. The cost of this car was 1,000 pounds in 1927 when it was purchased from USA. The make was known as the American Rolls Royce.
Above is a 1928 96A Whippet. This car was used by Overland Sydney Pty Ltd in a promotion exercise carried out in NSW in 1928. The price was reduced to 199 pounds, ( £199 ), and they travelled for 199 hours and passed through 199 towns. The schedule of the trip is near the car at the Museum. Below is a look inside at the drivers instuments.
Above and below you can see here a 1927 Chevrolet, still in imaculate order, and still going on car rallies.
There are other cars and machinery, and photos of antique cars at the museum, so if you are an antique car enthusiast, drop in and see the range. Above is a 1913 Renault, which lived its life around Yarrawonga.
