The Mountains to the Murray Rail Trail commences from Wangaratta and runs right past our Motel, and then turns right at Bowser and continues through Tarrawingee Station, Everton, Myrtleford, Porepunkah to Bright. Our Motel is ideally suited to use as base for groups of riders who wish to make a weekend out of the Bike Rail Trail. Our Bunkhouse Accommodation and the large entertaining hall look like they have been specifically built with the Rail Trail users in mind. There are two easy family rides from our Motel. The Bowser to Wangaratta ride which passes over the creeks and along the levee banks to the junction of the King and Ovens river at Apex Park, at the north end of Wangaratta. This ride is about 5 Km one way. The second ride is from Bowser to Tarrawingee Station and return. This ride is 14 Km one way, but the Rail Trail is very flat throughout this section, which allows for the amateur rider to handle the section easily. Tarrawingee Station has been built in the shape of a steam train, and offers excellent toilet facilities. Please look on the links above to see photos of both rides. If you need help with your Riding, such as a back up vehicle, emergency pick up, or bike or group collection, please make arrangements with the management in advance.
