More about the Artist

Hunting

" The painting shows two spirit men of our tribe using fishing spears to hunt animals along and in the river. In the centre of this painting the sun is depicted reflected in the water. The greeny yellow represents weeds and grass while the small circles shown are rocks."

                                                                            Eddy Harris

The above close up shows the intricate workings of the traditional aboriginal artwork, with the painting consisting of thousands of "Dots".

The large circle represents a waterhole or water course. Birds are drawn as would a kindergarten child, and the starfish shapes represent a whirlpool. The fish and the hunters are drawn in the traditional style.
