From Porepunkah to Myrtleford Page 2 Having peddled past the Boynton Winery, you then peddle past the Walnut Farm, and then past the above Tobacco Farm, with its luscious green coloured crop standing out from the dryer greens of the surrounds. Above a father with his young son peddles past the tobacco farmer on his tractor. There are three toilets currently built on the Rail Trail. They are both identical being built in the shape of a steam train pulling a caboose. Above you can see the Eurobin Station, with funnel at the top of the shelter representing the steam engine. These stations have rest areas, clean toilets and drinking water from the water tanks. On the ride into Ovens the rail trail passes hop fields, as in the photo above, and passing the Hop Factory you cross the road above right, and pass over a series of small bridges. The Rail Trail enters Myrtleford from the south behind some residential houses, and then crosses the main Ovens Highway near the old Butter Factory, opposite Reform Hill, photo above left. The trail then passes through the Jones Reserve, a lovely picnic spot, photo above right, and then the trail transfers to the streets of Myrtleford. Follow the signs. The Official start Finish of the Trail is behind the Tourist Information Centre, the Ponderosa Cabin.
