We grow 9500 lavender plants on our lavender farm in this beautiful valley just 3 minutes from historic Yackandandah, and we process the lavender into dozens of lavender products right here on the farm. Come and see us, admission free.
The Lavender Patch Farm is a great place for a visit, located just 5 Kms out of Yakandandah on the Beechworth Road (just 10 minutes from Beechworth). Acres of Gardens to stroll through, BBQ Shelters and Rotundas to picnic in, and dozens of lavender products to browse through in the Gift Shop, and a great range of tasty food in the Tea Room and Tea Garden.
We harvest thousands of bunches of Lavender each year for drying, the majority of which are stripped for loose Lavender, which is used in our craft items and sold through our gift shop. At present we distil small quantities of oil from selected plants mainly for trialling and quality control.
Our main crop consists of 3 lavandula X intermedia plants, Miss Donnington, Grosso and Vera, which come into flower from mid November each year.
Harvesting is done by hand in the traditional manner from mid January and takes from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the weather conditions. We have a number of lavender varieties which flower almost all year round so that there is always Lavender in flower at the Lavender Patch.
At the Lavender Patch quality is all important when it comes to the ingredients we use in our lavender products. All the products are made here at the farm using aromatherapy blends of pure essential oils. Our massage oils contain a carrier oil blend of pure Almond and Grapeseed oils to nourish the skin whilst calming and soothing.
Our sprays are a blend of essential oils in pure, filtered spring water.
There are over 5 dozen lavender products in our extensive range, all made here on the lavender farm, and displayed in our Lavender Shop, open 7 days a week, from the essential lavender oil, lavender bath oils and shower gels, lavender hair care, lavender body lotions and creams, lavender health care, lavender beauty care, lavender perfumes, to the unique lavender driver stay alert sprays.
Expert friendly staff are on hand to explain the different uses and natural components of the lavender products. Free admission and advice.
