DRIVE Crossing over the Bridge into Yackandandah, turn right into William Street, and turn left into Hammond Street. Continue up Hammond Street until first turn on right, Mineral Lane. Two hundred metres down the lane you will see a sign post pointing down to the Mineral Springs.
WALK Commencing at the Post Office, head east towards the Bridge, walking past the State Bank Building, the Athenaeum and Ray Riddington's Gallery, turn left into Jubilee Lane. Walk to next street called Hammond Street, and directly over the road you will see a lane named Mineral Lane. Walk up the lane approximately 200 metres and you will see the sign post pointing down to the mineral springs. Follow the steps down and you will get to the Commissioners Creek. At the base of the stairs is the spring flowing out of the ground, into an Historical Metal and Concrete catchment container, from which the water flows out into the creek. Standing at the base of the stairs, on your left hand side is the small but delicate Yackandandah Falls, about 50 metres to your left.
The sign post along Mineral Springs Lane is pointing to the Spring at the bottom of the stairs.
At the base of the stairs is the Mineral Spring, complete with its historic cover plate.
Above left is a close up of the historic metal cover plate. On the right is a view of Commissioners Creek from the Mineral Spring.
