CEMETERY Established on its present site in 1859, the cemetery contains memorials and stories of many of the districts pioneers. Up the hill and to the right there is an area reserved for Chinese graves. Fine timber gates, built in 1881were replaced to the same design in 1915. The prominent trees, a Canary Island Strawberry Tree, an Irish Strawberry Tree and a Lawson Cypress are on the National Trust Significant Tree Register. Information & tours may be arranged from Bank of Victoria Museum, the local historical society.

GOLD PANNING Gold Panning - Yackandandah Map Panning for Gold is allowed in 3 creeks flowing into Yackandandah. Twist Creek, Nine Mile Creek and Clear Creek. Gold panning is not allowed in Yackandandah Creek. A map showing Gold Panning areas and camping areas is available at the Information Centre. Gold Panning in Reedy Creek, Beechworth to El Dorado.
GORGE Historical mining location where the diggers diverted the Yackandandah Creek through approximately 200 metres of solid granite by digging ( using explosives ), a water race. Well worth a visit. Only about a 2 minute walk from the Gorge car park.

HUME & HOVELL CAIRNS There are two cairns erected to Hume & Hovell, one on the Wodonga to Yackandandah Road in the Avenue of Honour at Staghorn Flat, the other at Allans Flat on Gap Flat Road. ( Another cairn is located two kilometres past Everton on the Great Alpine Road).
